Thanksgiving and Memorial Service

For the first time, Radcliffe alumnae joined their returning Harvard classmates in Memorial Church at the annual Thanksgiving and Memorial Service for the Fiftieth Reunion. This was held on Wednesday morning, June 6th.

The Reverend Professor Peter J. Gomes welcomed alumni and alumnae and their families. Emily Romney conducted the Radcliffe-Harvard 1957 Choir, which included a number of our classmates. The Reverend Mary Bunton Adebonojo led a Litany of Praise & Thanksgiving. Lucia Stein Hatch read of the roll of classmates deceased since our last reunion.

Radcliffe classmates serving as ushers included Helen Cutter MacLennan and Dottie M. Oehmler.

Several of our classmates participated in the Friday morning Radcliffe Commemorative Service at Memorial Church. Nancy Lee Johnson gave the welcoming and closing remarks, and Beaty Young Blain was one of the readers.
